Our Library

Our library holds about 10,000 materials available to all students
and staff members.  In attempt to NOT turn into a library dragon
Mrs. Walker likes to involve the students in the library
as much as possible.  After all, the library belongs to all of us.

As the year progresses we will be working on projects that are more like adventures visiting new places, learning about animals and help our library transform into a place of exploration!

Testimonial

Our library is the best place ever!

a happy student

Policies

Kindergarten through Fifth Grade:

Students will visit library once a week for 40 minutes for book exchange and instruction based on a information literacy skills curriculum that supports state and American Library Association standards.

If books that are checked out are not returned the following library visit then students will have to wait until next visit to pick out new materials.

Students will be checking out one book each library visit.  If students are researching information for a classroom or library project then students are allowed to check out additional materials to support their project.

*Second Grade

With changes in the library program second graders will be visiting library for an additional 40 minutes each week.  This time is dedicated to technology skills such as but not limited to computer basics, typing, cyber citizenship and coding.
